Everybody Active

Print

For people living in poverty, leading an active lifestyle is not easy. By encouraging communities to adopt policies and programs that remove barriers to participation, this initiative aims to increase physical activity among individuals who live with lower incomes and face multiple challenges. The BC Recreation and Parks Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation are building on effective community program models and approaches, like Everybody Gets to Play™, to ensure that economically disadvantaged people have access to quality leisure experiences. When it comes to physical activity, income should not determine who gets to play.
